Pamela Ward

Hello, nice to meet you! I’m Pam, a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner with 20 years of nursing experience. I provide care to clients across New Jersey, specializing in obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). My Master of Science in Nursing, specializing in psychiatry, was completed at Ohio University, where I developed a strong foundation in evidence-based mental health care.

Trained as a psych NP, I am a generalist with experience in treating a wide range of mental health conditions.

My approach to psychiatry is that it is not just about treating symptoms; it is about understanding the person behind the diagnosis. I enjoy learning how the brain, environment, trauma, medical illness, and medications all interact, and I spend a great deal of time thinking about how those pieces fit together for each patient. I use both my medical knowledge and my ability to connect with people to help educate patients, and support them as they work toward healthier, more functional lives.
