Hello, nice to meet you! I’m Katrina, a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner with over 16 years of nursing experience. I provide care to clients across New York, specializing in anxiety, burnout, depression, and insomnia/sleep issues. My master’s in nursing and psychiatric specialization was
completed at Pace College, where I developed a strong foundation in evidence-based mental health care.
As a psych NP, I treat a broad spectrum of mental health conditions in addition to my specializations.
Every person has their own unique pathway through life as well as their own vulnerabilities. Moreover, there is no one standardized method of treatment (therapy and/or medication) that will provide solutions for everyone. That being said, my initial approach to working with clients is to first understand what brought them to therapy and to learn their goals of treatment. By understanding the catalyst for therapy and what is important to the client, we can develop a plan of therapy that will often incorporate a mix of humanistic, solution-focused and behavioral elements. And while every person is unique, I also believe that each person has the capacity to grow and change through personal work. These skills are built with compassion, psycho-education and, often, a healthy dose of humor.

“I had a very positive first visit. Katrina was sensitive to my concerns, and really listened. She asked good questions, and I felt heard and understood. Feeling engaged with people over Zoom can be challenging, but I didn't feel that in this first visit."
