Hello, nice to meet you! I’m Karen, a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner with 7 years of nursing experience. I provide care to clients across Texas, specializing in ADHD, anxiety, depression, insomnia and sleep issues, bipolar disorder, and life transitions. My master of science in nursing specializing in psychiatry was completed at Wilkes University where I developed a strong foundation in evidence-based mental health care.

Trained as a psych NP, I am a generalist with experience in treating a wide range of conditions.

My treatment approach is patient centered, practical and focuses on helping patients achieve meaningful improvement in their daily functioning. I take time to understand patient symptoms, social factors, and goals before formulating a plan or making treatment changes. I prefer a thoughtful, individualized approach to medication management, avoiding polypharmacy while making adjustments when clinically appropriate. I also value patient education, collaboration and creating an environment where patients feel involved in their treatment decisions.
