I’ve taken the ADHD Care Pledge to support safe and thoughtful stimulant use

Hello, nice to meet you! I’m Megan, a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner with 9 years of nursing experience. I provide care to clients across Louisiana, specializing in ADHD, depression, bipolar disorder, and insomnia and sleep issues. My master of science in nursing specializing in psychiatry was completed at McNeese State University where I developed a strong foundation in evidence-based mental health care.

Trained as a psych NP, I am a generalist with experience in treating a wide range of conditions.

I consider myself a relaxed provider, as a prior law enforcement officer you have to learn your audience and how to embrace people and make them feel welcome and that they are safe to tell you anything. This in turn enables me to obtain more information from someone to better diagnose and treat the underlying issues one may not have disclosed if they didn’t feel that connection with their provider. Your greatest assets as a provider is your ears and mouth, you have to be able to actively listen to be able to meaningfully respond and build that connection. Therefore, my approach and style is plainly: I am relaxed, approachable, and what I have been told creates a familiar feeling, someone one feels comfortable discussing uncomfortable things with.

We’re likely a good match if you…
