“I approach mental healthcare from a functional and holistic mindset. My background in emergency services, both as a city firefighter/EMT and then in emergency settings as a nurse have provided me with a level of understanding of the stress faced by first responders every day on the job. I welcome working with front line workers and healthcare staff from all areas of the field.
Animals play a starring role in my life. A bond with an animal friend can be one of the strongest we experience. Animals and humans can mirror each other’s emotions. They can help humans navigate challenges and work on mental health in different ways than working with another human can. I know my dogs make me a better person because we are an emotional team. “I’m thinking like a dog” I like to say when I want to be present and pay attention to the now.
While these are areas are more focused, I welcome and look forward to working with folks from all walks of life.”
